The Rotary Club of Aldershot is one of around 31,300 clubs in Rotary International in 163 countries and geographical regions. Rotary has nearly 1.3million members worldwide who share the common objectives of fostering high moral and ethical standards in business and the professions whilst, at the same time, initiating and supporting community service projects locally, nationally and internationally.
Rotary is based on fellowship. Our regular weekly meetings provide an opportunity for members to enjoy each other's company and to develop business and social relationships. Speakers are regularly invited to introduce a topic of interest for the members and lively discussions usually follow.
Associated closely with that of fellowship is the idea of service to the community. This takes several forms including fund raising and active participation in community projects. This may be something as simple as providing marshals for the town's Victoria Day to working on major international projects following natural disasters.
Within Rotary, we often speak of 'The Family of Rotary' and Aldershot Rotary Club is strongly orientated towards full integration with our families in our activities. We have regular events where partners, families and friends may join in.
Rotaract is a great opportunity for those aged 18-30 to be part of a fun, dynamic and unique international organisation, offering a wide range of activities that will enable them to try something new, whilst having a great time and meeting others. They offer a wide choice of social activities, actively supports your local community, raises money for charity and gives you the opportunity to develop your personal skills and gain new life experiences in the UK and abroad.
