Performance Indicators

In order to ensure we continue to provide an excellent standard of service, we monitor our performance in all areas of the business. Each month we measure a number of performance indicators, which we then compare to both our own past performance, and to that of other similar venues.

The graphs below show our recent performance in a variety of areas, including attendance levels, event numbers, and customer service levels. If you have any questions, or there is other information you would like to see published, then please contact the venue manager, David Phillips, on 01252 398 570 or email david.phillips@rushmoor.gov.uk.

Total attendance at the Princes Hall

The Princes Hall has over 100,000 visitors each year. The busiest time is always the Christmas pantomime season, with the summer months and New Year comparatively quiet. Last year's total attendance of over 111,000, was the hightest on record.

Pantomime sales graph

Almost 17,000 people came to see last Christmas’s production of ‘Peter Pan’, almost 1,000 more than the previous year’s record for ‘The Wizard of Oz’.

Graph of cinema attendance

The Princes Hall shows films by projecting from DVD, rather than on a 35mm projector. Films are shown at the ‘Monday Movies’ and ‘Saturday Morning Pictures’ every 3 to 4 weeks. Following the large audiences at Mamma Mia last October, we invested in a new high power projector to significantly improve the picture quality of our screenings.

SNAP attendance graph

SNAP Disco’s are held once a month on a Friday night, (except during August and December). They are an ‘anti-drugs’ initiative, (SNAP stands for ‘Say No And Phone’), for 11 to 16 year olds. Recent attendance figures have picked up, after a relatively slow Spring 2008.

Youth theatre membership graph

Our Youth Theatre is designed for 5 to 16 year olds with an interest in the theatre. Since it’s launch in 2002, the Youth Theatre has grown from 3 sessions a week accommodating 50 members, to 5 sessions a week with almost 90 members. Numbers are slightly down in 2009 because 1). 2008 was over-subscribed, and 2). A few children attending 'on trial' decided not to continue..

Graph showing the number of hirings

Of the Princes Hall’s 950 or so events each year, around 600 are ‘hired events’ These include meetings, wedding receptions, parties, etc, which all take place in one of our four function rooms. The number of hirings are down by 13 for the first four months of 2009/10. This is due to a number of provisional bookings cancelling late on, (14).

Graph showing number of visits to princeshall.com

The number of visits to www.princeshall.com continues to increase as the popularity of our on-line ticket booking service rises. In the Spring of 2009, the Princes Hall won 'Best Recreation and Tourism Website' at the Hampshire Web Awards.
